Officially, Dragon Quest 11 will feature the “adventure of a hero who must solve the mystery of his fate with the aid of a charming cast of supporting characters,” according to Square Enix. The publisher said in a release that it plans to reveal more details about Dragon Quest 11 sometime this fall. Square Enix did not specify which platforms Dragon Quest 11 will be released on in 2018 (or if we’ll get that unusual PS4 and 3DS bundle that shipped in Japan). The game was one of the first titles announced for Switch, back when it was known as the Nintendo NX. Dragon Quest 11 is also bound for Nintendo Switch, but that version does not currently have a release date. Square Enix announced today that Dragon Quest 11 is currently being localized into five languages, including English, for release next year.ĭragon Quest 11 is being released for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo 3DS this weekend in Japan, but Square Enix has been quiet about the game’s release elsewhere in the world until today. ![]() The title was developed by Level-5 and was published in Japan by Square Enix. Nintendo announced the upcoming release of the RPG title during their Summit event in San Francisco earlier this week. The next mainline entry in Square Enix’s Dragon Quest series, Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age, is coming to the West in 2018. Dragon Quest IX, the incredibly popular Nintendo DS title, is coming to North America after selling 4 million units in Japan. ![]()
